About Us/Contact Us

Linda & Karen first met in 2004 while taking gardening classes designed and taught by Janet Macunovich, the well-known and highly respected MI author (9 books, a newspaper column and many magazine articles), radio-show host, teacher, and professional gardener. We soon realized that the similarity of our respective backgrounds, and the same wish to realize a dream of starting a gardening business, meant that we should take this leap out of the corporate world together. We now tend many gardens in northern Washtenaw and western Wayne Counties for clients with diverse properties, both in taste and design as well as environmental conditions.

Linda Sullivan is the owner of Homewood Gardens in Plymouth. Born and raised in England, she grew up within a family passionate about gardening. After an administrative career in the financial industry in London and New York, Linda attended the Michigan School of Gardening, concentrating on the Certificate of Gardening Fine Arts, and is a Wayne County Master Gardener.

Karen Land, owner of Land’s Scapes, comes from a long line of farmers and avid gardeners. She has designed, planted, and maintained gardens in her own yard in Ann Arbor, MI, for decades. After career maintaining databases in the pharmaceutical industry, Karen attended the Michigan School of Gardening gaining a Certificate of Landscape and Garden Design, and is a Washtenaw County Master Gardener.
